My New Toy

I work w/ alot of dirt-bike and atv junkies...and they talk about riding all of the time. And I have friends that ride (or have ridden) motocross. So, I figured it's my turn!
I've actually wanted a motorcycle or 4-wheeler for a long time, but haven't been able to afford it. But, an opportunity came up to get a bike for a really good deal...so, I took it! So, I am the proud owner of a 125cc, 4 stroke dirt-bike!
I took it out for my first run on the dirt a couple weekends ago at Balanced Rock. My dad is a motorcycle guy, so I asked him to take me so he could help me out. I put on all my cool gear and hit the dirt for some fun!
I'm far from being great...but had a really good time riding! I even braved a hill!

Look out motocross...here I come!!! :)

Soccer...softball...summer...well, almost...

Curtis and I have dived into the world of city league sports (again). We signed up for indoor soccer and continue to keep playing when new sessions start. This is our 3rd session so far. Who would have ever thought that we'd ever be indoor soccer people?!
Curtis plays goalie a majority of the time and is amazing at it!!! But then again, what isn't he good at!?! (He's great on the field too!) My favorite place to play is defense. I like trying to steal the ball (or at least stop plays) from the hot shot guys that have been playing forever. (It's fun to steal the ball from someone w/ alot more experience.) :) I don't mind being a forward, but would like to be a little better to take that position on full-time. I did score my first indoor soccer goal ever, three weeks ago though! Woop-woop! :)
As for softball, the season's almost half over, but Curtis's parents team needed players...so, we signed up! Curtis has subbed a few times this season and the teams he's played for have loved him because he's so good! He's hit a few beautiful home runs that just make peoples jaws drop! (Once again...what isn't he good at?!) We're excited to be playing! And the team we're playing for is pretty laid back and out to have fun. They've already talked to us about playing the fall season w/ them as well! Softball is always fun!
Summer keeps peeking around the corner here. So, we'll probably be hitting the golf course quite a bit too.
And w/ fall comes a whole new slew of city league sports for us! Look out sports world...here we come!!!

Fiesta Bowl

Our BSU Broncos made it to another bowl game, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity this time to go and watch them play. We hit the road to Glendale, Arizona, picking up (or moreso switching cars and adding people) my dad and oldest brother in Twin Falls. Then we stopped in Las Vegas and stayed and played a little. And we picked up my other older brother (he's the one w/ the 10" blue mohawk - that's what vegas mixed w/ bronco football does to you!). I got a chance to see my good friends, Steph & Rhett, while I was in Vegas too (thanks so much for driving in to see me guys!).
Then it was on to Prescott, Arizona, where we stayed w/ my aunt & uncle. We headed to the game in the early afternoon on the 4th, so we could play at "The Biggest Tailgate Party" put on by tostitos. We ate, ran an obstacle course (my dad made it on national tv on that one - Jimmy Johnson even commented on dad's athletics), threw touchdown passes from recliners (Jeremy & Curtis were on tv for that one), kicked field goals, threw the fastest football passes (I put my brothers and Curtis to shame on this one - I was the second best throw out of all the women too!), and mingled w/ all the other fans! About 75% of the crowd was blue & orange! It was soooo cool! I yelled and screamed more than I ever have at a football game...and still surprisingly had a voice the next day! And, in the end, the Broncos were victorious!!! (We had no doubts!!) What an amazing experience!!! Talk about college football at it's finest!!! Even the TCU fans were nice!

On the way back to Vegas, we stopped and checked out the Hoover Dam - pretty amazing! Then we dropped Curtis off at the airport in Vegas to get him home early for work, while the rest of us roadtripped it the rest of the way home. The weather was great! The game was amazing! The experience...nothing could beat it!!!! (Well, except for a national championship...but, we know that probably won't happen!) We can't wait for next season!!!! Go Broncos!!!

Flag Football

Well, another season of flag football has come and gone. Curtis played on a team w/ his brother, Kyle, and our brother-in-law, Dan. The team took 2nd place in the regular season, behind a team that they lost to in seven over-times (long game)! Amidst the gaping whole in the leg and torn shirts, there were many tackles, interceptions, touchdowns, and wins. It's so much fun to go watch Curtis and our family play football! And we always have the best fans! :)
