ESPN Game Day visited Boise recently and filmed on the blue turf! We attended a Game Day tailgate party at Home Depot on Friday to try and win backstage passes for ESPN Game Day. They had free hot dogs, soda, sign painting, and games. One of our signs got us into the top 5 to win the backstage passes, but a little kid dressed like Napoleon Dynamite ended up winning (his sign cussed...I think that's why he won!) Ha-ha! We got a nifty orange Game Day construction hat (see pictures) for being in the top 5.
Then we got up early Saturday morning and headed down to the stadium to be part of the ESPN Game Day show fun. They announced that people wouldn't be allowed on campus until 5am...we got there at about 4:55am...and there was a huge line already! We didn't make it down onto the turf, but we were in the stands and did get a few seconds on TV! Lee Corso was not a very loved man until he finally put the Bronco mascot head on (those of you who watch Game Day, know that he always picks a team and puts their mascot head on to announce the team he picks)! Erin Andrews, on the other hand, was very loved!
We had a blast, but were sooooo tired...and soooo hungry!!! Game Day filming ended at about 10am and we headed on down to Shari's for breakfast. Then we headed home to try to get a nap in before the big game. Curtis and I headed back to the game after a little rest and watched Boise State lay it down on the Oregon State Beavers! It was such a fun game to be at! The stadium was packed! And the tri-color seating looked amazing! (We were in an orange section.) Curtis was hoarse at the end of the night...I can never seem to lose my voice anymore!
The Broncos led us to yet another victory! And held strong on to their #3 ranking!
And, Boise state made the Sports Illustrated cover for the 2nd time in less than 2 months this week!!! Woop-woop! I love football season!!!
